Editorial Staff:
Chelsea D. is an eighteen-year-old girl who enjoys TV and made-for-TV movies such as Dexter, Modern Family, Smart House, and the Pregnancy Pact. She does NOT trust ventriloquists.
Mackenzie F. enjoys looking at marbles and expressing blunt thoughts. From her awkward tween years to the blossoming young lady she is now, she has developed a fondness for pleasing words that roll off the tongue. Often found with a book tucked under her arm, a glint in her eye, and a snarky expression, she will lull you through the process of becoming a published writer.
Chelsea P. has unusually high expectations of the world. Ever since she was an infant, she has insisted that capitalism get out of her way. With her love of tall, avant-garde Gaga/uncomfortable Bassnectar shoes and her ability to find your power animal before you can even give it a thought, she truly is a sight to behold.
Natalie A. was born under mysterious circumstances. She materialized on the battle grounds of Gettysburg after a Civil War reenactment. Raised by local grizzly bears, she moved to Beirut in the summer of '97. She worked as an intern for local newspapers for many years, which is where she cultivated her exuberant personality. She is beloved for her kindness and culinary talents.
Isabella B. has developed an unnatural and rather unhealthy addiction to strange news and gossip. However, through these many hours of information trafficking, she has gained an open mind and a generous heart because sometimes Perez puts up links to charities. She has also become an aficionado of cute pups from the pound. It's almost impossible to not have an intellectual conversation with her, because she has spent many years researching and building her knowledge on a wide range of subjects. Her passion for the weird and her love for all things puppy and Kardashian makes her one of the most interesting people you will ever meet.
Danny D. knows what you want. Danny D. knows what you need. Whether or not he'll give you either--well, that's up to him.
Martine K.'s favorite things include Sharkys, John Lennon, dark purple (yes, the color), and Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. She has recently developed such a strong obsession with peanut butter that it influences every aspect of her life, including her bio. If you have any suggestions for foods that go well with peanut butter (she has already tried apples, bananas, pretzels, cookies, toast, and graham crackers), please contact her, for she is becoming bored with the traditionals.
Julia M. isn't funny. She likes rainy days, big cups of coffee and very long, wordy, sentences. She wrote a 60-page love epic in eighth grade. She is a vegetarian who likes to shoot guns and has a very large car. Her favorite book is a tie between Wuthering Heights and Lady Chatterley's Lover. Her favorite movie is Sunset Blvd. She sometimes writes very short poems and can be quite childish and very opinionated. She is the editor of the creative writing and opinion sections of the school newspaper. She cuddled with Martine K. once on a very cold night in Utah. We try not to speak of this.
Hayley G.'s hobbies include herding heffalumps to safe havens and battling woozles. She enjoys spending quiet evenings reading Edgar Allan Poe by candlelight to her pet platypus, Norman. Hayley would like to contribute this critical advice to all who are reading this: "Don't pet a burning dog."
